Nutcracker Contest Rules & Entry Form

JUDGNG IS ON NUTCRACKER DAY

SATURDAY, JUNE 15, 2024 AT THE NUTCRACKER MUSEUM

ENTRY FORM AND CONSENT FORM DEADLINE:  JUNE 10, 2024

School Class Ending 2024 -----  Grades 1-4  Grades 5-8  Grades 9-12

CONTEST RULES… The design must be the student’s own, using their own imagination. It must be able to crack a hazelnut. If the student receives help of any kind from an adult in the construction of the nutcracker, this must be written in detail, and judges will take this into consideration. Honor system will apply.

Entry forms must be received by June 10, 2024 at the Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum 735 Front St., Leavenworth, WA 98826 and must include a picture of the completed nutcracker. Actual nutcracker must be received at the museum on Saturday, June 15 between 9:30 and 10:30 or any day before. Judging will be June 15 between 10:30 and 11:30. If possible, the students should be available to demonstrate their entry.

IMPORTANT - Please be sure to write your name on the bottom of your nutcracker. The name must match the name of the student on the Entry Form.

Winners will be announced at 1:00, and nutcrackers will remain on display until 4:30 when they can be picked up. Nutcrackers can also be donated to the Museum’s permanent display which is admired by the many visitors. If you live far away, you can still participate in the contest as your entry form and nutcracker can be sent to the museum.

Please insure your package, and arrange to have it received by June 10. The museum will have the personnel to demonstrate your nutcracker. The museum cannot be responsible for any damage that should occur with the entry, or any injury to the contestant.

First place winner in each category will receive $100.00 in cash, second place winner will receive $50.00, and third place winner will receive $25.00.
